1. Who we are

YFetch (the "Service", "we", "us") is an independent AI audio studio. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit yfetch.app and how we handle it.

2. Information we collect

YFetch does not require an account. We collect only what is needed to run the Service:

Server logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and response status. Used to prevent abuse, debug issues, and keep the Service available.
Aggregated analytics — anonymised page views, referrer, device type, and country-level location. We do not build advertising profiles from this data.
Audio, text, and prompts you submit — the files and text you send to the Transcribe, Voice to Text, Text to Speech, and Sound Effects tools.
Communications — if you email us, we keep the message and your email address to reply and to keep a support history.

3. How your uploads and voice recordings are handled

Files, microphone recordings, and text prompts are sent from your browser to our servers, forwarded to our AI processing partners on demand, and discarded from our servers after the response is returned. We do not use your content to train AI models. Our AI providers may retain content briefly under their own policies for safety and abuse review; those providers act as data processors.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use a small set of cookies for essential site functionality (routing, language, security) and privacy-friendly analytics. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can clear cookies at any time from your browser settings.

5. Advertising

YFetch may display third-party advertising, including via Google AdSense, to keep the tools free. Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ads Settings and aboutads.info.

6. Legal bases (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, we process your data under the following legal bases: (a) legitimate interest — to operate, secure, and improve the Service; (b) consent — for non-essential cookies and analytics where required; (c) legal obligation — to comply with valid legal requests.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA / CPRA, and similar laws), you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. YFetch does not sell personal data. To exercise your rights, email privacy@yfetch.app. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Data retention

Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form. Support emails are kept for up to 24 months. Uploaded audio, dictation, and prompts are not retained after processing.

9. International transfers

Our infrastructure and AI providers may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact privacy@yfetch.app and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use TLS in transit, restricted server access, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not upload sensitive personal, medical, or financial data unless you accept that risk.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced here with a new "Last updated" date.
